you will probably not believe this but I saw Giggs make his debut for United and I saw most of his games up until about 2000 and he was my favourite player. I remember having many an argument where I opined that he was better than Georgie Best. He was young, fast, great dribbling skills, good at defending when needed scored some great goals. That's why I feel like crying when I see this jaded, tired old man trying, but failing, to impersonate the once beautiful young Giggs.
Nobody is claiming Giggs is trying to be the player he was when he was younger.

It's a bit of a joke that this thing can happen to a football club but Man Utd asked for it when they made themselves a plc.
Yes, this is the crux of it really. The law is very clear on this point, so to say you think the Glazers shouldn'thave any legal right to the club is akin to saying you disagree with substantial parts of English company law. My earlier posts were attempts to see if Mullarkey had any detailed understanding of these points; it now appears that he probably doesn't.

I accept that it is legal but still don't believe it should be, based on morality. I do disagree with substantial parts of English company law as you say. I disagree with many other aspects of English law, just because something is legal it doesn't mean it is right.

RE Giggs and his past blemishes, didn't he beat up his bird when he was younger, the one off Hollyoaks? Or was it that she got beat up on hollyoaks. Could be what I'm thinking of.

Indeed. I just thought it strange that when I asked you to elaborate on your initial point you opted for a strange hypothetical example rather than say what you've said here.

So why is it then that you find the existing law to be immoral?

Awful for Theo. Arsenal more likely to buy someone now you would have thought.
Who's the best target though? Read a tweet saying Arsenal can replace him positional wise easily, but can't replace the amount of goals he gives, which I'd have to agree with.

Well, I think Gnabry is a decent fit to replace Theo, bizarrely Bentdners's injury was always more likely to get a transfer. Yet it all means Wenger needs a few signings, and it's not a bad time to go for players when you're top of the league.

Don't think have much choice if they wish to keep their momentum up.

Wonder when Chamberlain is back from injury, could have a big part to play.

Is the right player available though?

January is dodgy for transfers as it is but the price will go up loads for Arsenal now whoever they try to buy.

Because the Glazers have been allowed by the corrupt capitalist systems of the west to take that which is not theirs.

Rumours about Shaqiri leaving Bayern, not heard him linked to Arsenal at all but could be a possible move.

Agree Gnabry has looked excellent so far so maybe it will just be a central striker, no idea who though.
