Abysmal from the Windies considering they've had almost everything go their way this series from the weather saving them in Dunedin to winning both tosses.

I have to say this has been a pretty much perfect NZ test match wicket. When the bowling was **** batting looked easy, when the bowling was good the batsmen looked very uncomfortable. Exactly what's needed. Neither discipline had a free ride but good play was always rewarded.

Some Random Comments:

- The best person to be our third seamer would have been Chris Martin had he not retired
- Sodhi needs to be retained for the next test a) he can bat b) Howise says he is the real deal and his track record includes pumping up Kane, Tim Southee and Trent Boult before they were picked.
- Brendon McCullum in his post match interview said "Ross is one of our greatest players". He is saying Ross is a NZ ATG. That is quite the compliment and endorsement.
- I will make a separate post about Wagner and whether he should be picked next test.

An innings victory over a team ranked two places ahead of us. I think I'll put on my smoking jacket, break out my best cognac and cigar, and indulge myself in little glory basking...

Might even see if the missus is feeling frisky, later. :naughty:

"That was amazing Beeg, but why were you shouting out "Boult" the whole time?"

I didn't see a ball of this today; missed quite a bit of this Test in general. Will have to catch tha highlights as I love me some Boult.

I wasn't too fussed either way who won this series coming into it, but I was gutted for New Zealand after the first Test so I'm really glad they've won here. All about the 2-0 train.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Yeah apart from Bravo's innings we've dominated the WIndies fairly comprehensively over two Tests. How good is Boult??? I think most people tend to think of Southee as the better bowler because he's been around for longer but I can't separate the two. Boult is a bona fide leading man in this attack, and seems more likely to pull off a dominating spell than Southee.

Because they play good spin very well.

Sodhi is not yet a good spinner.

Obvious right.
Is Patel a good spinner? He picked up wickets against them a couple of years ago in India. Sometimes I think we overrate the sub continental guys against spin. They are not that amazing.
