Didn't Boult leave the field after his 2 overs and there was a suggestion he'd tweaked something in his leg? Back out there now though.Commandment #11: Thou doth have no right to assume knowledge from a scorecard. Having said that, I need to know why no Boult, why our premier swing bowler for 2 overs with a new cherry, fresh in the morning, why a three-over stint from our back-up spinner over the other (and seemingly causing trouble to a batsman), how scuffed and ruined the ball is after it's been in Wags' hands etc
Not sure mate, office-bound and Cricinfo is offering little. You'd presume he didn't have it at the end of the first innings, or the euphoria of 6-for wore off and revealed itDidn't Boult leave the field after his 2 overs and there was a suggestion he'd tweaked something in his leg? The difference is that he's had the new ball after a whole morning off and still hasn't even looked dangerous at all.Wagner has been better today. Still too many looseners and generally too short, but at least he hasn't been leaking like an Italian submarine.
You're absolutely right cause we all know that fast bowlers are machines who can bowl for 2 and a half hours straight with zero drop off in quality. Seriously, Southee had bowled 7 overs and Boult 6. There was no way they were ever going to have enough for more than a couple each.don't really get why anyone would complain about the decision to enforce here. We just rolled them in about 10 overs ffs. Pretty fishy to only give the strike bowlers 4 overs in the whole period of play though.
