Wagner takes a wicket once the ball is >25 overs old. Coincidence?

On that note I disagree that he's been 'manufactured' into a third seamer by NZ; I've read a number of times that he's always had a much better reputation with the older ball, and is known for wasting the new ball for Otago (perhaps less wasteful recently though).

Still needs to not bowl so much short crap obviously. Simply does not have the pace or height for that to be his Plan A, as opposed to a variation.

But but but he's a faaassssst bowler! The batsmen will be scared, he's pretty much Mitchell Johnson!

You're absolutely right cause we all know that fast bowlers are machines who can bowl for 2 and a half hours straight with zero drop off in quality. Seriously, Southee had bowled 7 overs and Boult 6. There was no way they were ever going to have enough for more than a couple each.

Wagner... well...
I hear you, but if you're enforcing a follow-on it's simply not good enough to bowl 2 overs of your premier swing bowler on a pretty flat pitch offering minimal turn when your back-up is new-ball shredder Wagner and Corey Anderson. And that might be your counter-argument to why we shouldn't have enforced it again, which is fine. Tim is a fit fella, no reason he can't go 7, a quick rest then 4-5 when early strikes are vital

Yesssss! We're looking much better here after lunch. Must have learned from Taylor not eating enough on day 1.

Nice catch by Williamson too.

Heh, really thought that had been dropped live. The glasses popped off just as he hit the ground. Was a horrible moment until I realised everyone was still celebrating.
