Yeah look I slept through the last session, no idea what happened in terms of sledging. But there are plenty of posts of late that seem to imply Prior is just a crap cricketer. And that's all I was getting at. He's out of form, badly, but that doesn't overwrite three or four years of being the world's best at his role.
I think it was actually Broad that was doing most of the talking, and Prior just joined in at one point to back him up. The bloke can clearly bat (even though I've said otherwise in the past), I'm just glad he isn't doing very well against us this year.
Yeah fair enough. Was pleased to see he scored a few but from reading through here he struggled through. See how he goes tonight I guess. The key is to hang in there as long as we can with back to back tests.
From what I saw he struggled a bit. Played a nice pull shot but then top-edged/gloved the next one over the keeper. If Siddle gets a go early tomorrow and is moving them into him it will be interesting to see how he goes. I'm hoping for the double of England losing the 2nd Test and Prior getting out early enough not to play himself into any form. Given how hopelessly out of form he has been, I can't see it happening. But you never know. Am happy to see him score back-to-back quadruple centuries in the 4th and 5th Tests if we're 3-0 up after Perth though.
Yeah, he wasn't far away from Watson on one occasion. Can't see him making a heap tomorrow, hopefully.
