May as well try and win this game because in all likelihood we're losing in Perth. Definite gamble but any selection was a gamble given they're all unproven or fitness or form concerns.

Does Stokes use reverse? It's probably not that bad as I think Ballance would have been found out pretty early with his batting (bottom hand, not fool proof on the drive through covers), but I would have gone with Bresnan.

Reckon the ball will take spin earlier than any other AO pitch we've seen for a while. But then again, we seem to say that most years.

Stokes reverses the white ball, so would be astounded if he doesn't reverse the red. Haven't seen him bowl red ball since he was a chubby military medium.

If Bresnan's fit he surely has to play. Even without his obvious cricketing skills, he has just the type of character and fight we need in this Test.
