Bodes wellthe guardian said:Carberry could hardly have done any more, combining skill and stamina to make an unbeaten 153 as he and Cook became the first England pair to bat through a whole day's play since Graham Thorpe and Mark Ramprakash in a tour game against South Australia in Adelaide in 1998.
Touch harsh on Maxwell. Bowled alright.Carberry's play of spin has benefited from attempting to become a 20/50 over specialist. Was kind of limited before without many attacking options but working hard on his short format game has really helped develop his attacking options against spin and the execution was impressive. No way in the past would he have been so aggresive against spin - not that the standard of spin bowling in this game was particularly high.
No comment on you Burgey but when I read that post, and the way it is written, it conjures up an image of an old man in a care home having a conversation with himself while half watching the cricket and trying to take his mind off the fact that the kids never visit. It'll be interesting to see how Carberry plays with a bit more bounce if there's some blokes around the bat to some slow stuff. He plays with very low hands.
Or maybe he just did today, I haven't seen a lot of him.

If you ask him how to say his name that's exactly what he'll say back to you.Loving how the Aussie commentators are pronouncing Moises Henriques.. Lets just take the I out and call him Moses?
Fair enough, he'll need some divine intervention to run through England tomorrowIf you ask him how to say his name that's exactly what he'll say back to you.
Presume he's not getting much business this offseason thenI always thought Bellerive was supposed to be a bit lively? Vaguely recall Poos slandering Forkers as a greentop bully.
Fecking pancake flat today tho, but.
Must say it really is an ordinary bowling attack too.
& has Copeland's action always been so dodge? Looked well rank today.
Anyway, kudos to Carbs. Good bloke so it's good to see him get on. Works as an electrician in the off-season. How can you not love a cricketer who's learnt a trade?
For years Bellereve vied with Adelaide as the flattest deck in the country. Since the end of the great drought in about 08 or 09 it's played a lot livelier, a combination of climate and, I suspect, a conscious effort to make the games more lively.I always thought Bellerive was supposed to be a bit lively? Vaguely recall Poos slandering Forkers as a greentop bully.

Random punters like John Inverarity?Geez Paine's keeping was average today. Virtually every ball that beat the bat off the spinners was grassed. Won't stop random punters disregarding that and his FC century tally in backing his Test selection though.
Na, they will want KP to have a decent bat. He may move to 3 as Trott got runs last week.England should declare near lunch, give their bowlers a go.
CA probably went a bit far scheduling rain during this tour gameGet a climate ffs.
