Sounds pretty similar to some of your reactionary posting to me.Rahim is fast becoming one of my most hated cricketers - his voice is irritating and his appeals are just horror movie shrieking; "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" and he appeals every second ball. If they're successful the appeal has an "AAAAAAAAAHHHHH HHHAAARRRRR HARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR" tacked on the end.
Someone please punch him already.
If we had guys like Chris Martin in our tail, I'd agree with you. But for this particular side, I prefer Anderson at six, and Watling at seven. It's important for Anderson to learn how to construct a proper test innings, and not just go out there with instructions to hit sixes just because he can hit it a bit harder than Watling. He'll learn bad habits that way.Watling is a bubble batsman, which is why i like him higher up at six. let anderson hit sixes with the tail.
good point, will think about it againIf we had guys like Chris Martin in our tail, I'd agree with you. But for this particular side, I prefer Anderson at six, and Watling at seven. Bracewell, Sodhi, Wagner, Boult etc are more than capable of scoring 15-20 runs each to stick with BJ, and his style is more likely to help them try and play properly as well. Boult would have been far less likely to have scored that 50 if the specialist batsman at the other end wasn't giving him any strike, denying runs, swinging at everything etc.
Is Watling bad?New Ranking of our players against spin

He's in the middle of the pack. If you watch him he has been defending balls on leg stump and not using his feet very often. Is Watling bad?
Yeah, I vaguely remember when he was selected as an opener and I was like "wtf".Well played BJ
I never expected him to become such a quality cricketer. It's a shame people who aren't familliar with him will look at his record and dismiss him as a minnow basher upon first glance, neglecting his performance in SA where he was head and shoulders above the others barring Brownlie's one innings, and steering NZ to good totals in both tests here.
Haha yeah, a few people failing to understand the concept that runs in the second innings are a hell of a lot easier to get than runs in the fourth innings:lol at cricinfo comments.
halfway through the match doesn't mean halfway through the batting...These guys must've never watched test cricket before.
