*Official* Fourth Test at Chester-le-Street

Son Of Coco

Cricket Web: All-Time Legend
We've gotten a bit too short in the last few overs. Went from getting it up and moving it around to letting England swing away at short stuff.

Aren't you the same bloke that said this about Philander after one test?
Look Bird was hyped as being McGrath the 2nd by the crims, bowled slow filth for most of the day today after a pretty ordinary first few days. Hard to be impressed by him after so much hype.

Was thinking the same. I guess he's not the type of person to say anything possibly negative on live TV.
It is annoying but he does supply some insight that's we wouldn't get ie DRS that we wouldn't otherwise get. He's also got a decent cricket brain which is shown up when he's in the box with Botham.

And he's a better commentator than Vaughan.

Bird is an excellent bowler but I'm inclined to agree that the attack lacks variety.

Why can't they just let some players play a few tests in a row? They let Watson. Why not anyone else?

Think we can only score these runs if Clarke gets half. So as usual it will be all about when he walks out and if anyone else can get going.

Warne doesn't realize that its completely impossible for the scores to continue going up each innings.

Losing teams always chop and change looking for the magic formula. Usually fails and they change it again. It is what poor/average sides do when playing against better opposition and will continue to do for many years to come. England did it throughout the 80's and 90's and it worked so well.
