So long as we keep dropping catches. Mostly he's been batting well thoughAll set to quote this in about 4-5 hours time. Was when Bell was on 20 or so
Yup, that was a shocker and a half, wasn't it. Another contender is Gatting being given LBW to Qadir in the infamous 1987 series; IIRC it hit him outside off and was turning away from him as well. Apart from that, no problems.
Stoopid media driven controversies aside, I hope this Test has set the tone for the series. I think a lot of people in Pomgolia (and Oz!) underestimated us and while I expect we will lose the series, I expect us to make every match a bloody tough contest.Don't let him stop you Harry....you fantasize away!!
The way this test has ebbed and flowed I'm not expecting us to do this easily. Would love to see us put on another 100-150 and make this game over, but somehow I think there is some more heart flutters in this one for me yet.
Used the review on Bairstow - it was a horrible decision as it was never out and he was never likely to score any runsYeah they've been brilliant. England have batted so so well to come through it too.
England are clearly well ahead now though. I said yesterday when Patto was hooping it to Bell and Bairstow that they'd either rip through England for nothing or Bell, Bairstow and Prior would hold them off long enough that the tail could make runs, and the latter is what happened. It didn't turn out well obviously but I can see why Clarke used that review on Bell, it was such a crucial stage in the game.
Tiny campPut me in the camp that thinks Lyon is a better bowler than Agar.
A draw is out of the question unless we bat for a really long time todayHate to be that guy, England, but this is just perfectly set for some incredible, surreal grind from Australia to force the draw.
Surely AB assumed Dar's issue was with the catch, not the edge?
Yeah, for me, if you guys bat until tea, the draw is an option. Could well happen with Swann still to come, though it may seem unlikely.A draw is out of the question unless we bat for a really long time today
Probably, but forget about AB, surely right there Dar has made one of the worst decisions of all time?Surely AB assumed Dar's issue was with the catch, not the edge?
Again though, I'd say Dar's reason for not giving it would have to be that he thought SRT grounded it.Probably, but forget about AB, surely right there Dar has made one of the worst decisions of all time?
