I'm trying to re call the last time Jimmy took a michelle against anyone. Which probably means I've forgotten one from a couple of months ago. But he doesn't really run through sides nowadays. Maybe if the forecasters are right about the weather, then we're better off having 30 overs at them tonight rather than prodding around for another 20 runs and different conditions to bowl in tomorrow.

But this is feeling ever more like 1989. A lot of big names living off past glories coming badly unstuck against what's supposed to be the worst Aus side to tour since the 19th century
NZ at Lord's. Otherwise you have a point that he hasn't taken as many as, aesthetically, you think he should

Rad Haddin rushes over to the seamers to just give them some bowling tips as they walk off the field

Wow 215 all out, we'll take that every day of the week.

On to the batting now, which is kind of scary - at least we bat right down to 11 in this game.

Well done Oz, but it was all kinds of awful from us. At least we'll get the same conditions for a lot of overs, really need about 5 down, or with the better weather tomorrow we're ****ed.

Swann has to be the soft-****ish dismissal since Raddin in Cape Town.

Brad's face showing the changing of the guard.

So what 29 overs left to play in 75 minutes or so plus maybe the additional 30 minutes. Definitely wont get all the overs in.

Well that was awful.
Yup. As it has been in goodness only knows how many tests since the dawn of 2012. It really is difficult to have anything other than utter contempt for our batsmen nowadays, unless Cook or KP bails us out. And as this series is being played in England, it won't be the former very often.
