imo just amazing how consistently our batsmen are getting starts, even if they are not pushing on to big scores.

After enjoying so much Onions, Anderson is going to need some extra minty gum before going out for dinner tonight

Onions has been murdered in this game. 200+ runs conceded for just the one wicket. Anderson's stepping up again here. His first-class batting average is sorting itself out now.

100 required from 20. Be finished with overs to spare if they give Scaly's man the ball.

Not only got tonked but seems to have developed a no-ball problem, 11 sent down so far.

Is a shame about Onions.

I think we can all agree it's Cricinfo's fault though or something.

Haha soo good. So Rutherford's pretty much a lock. Watling's in form of his life obv.
Neesh to hit the winning runs

I like Neesh but has he ever actually done anything noteworthy with the bat?

He looks so good but then there are plenty of players that look good and have disappointed.

True dat. I'd much rather him concentrate on his batting than turn out to be Franklin 2.0

I wouldn't mind selectors going for a gamble with Anderson than Latham (do rate him ftr) at this stage tbh.

Anderson too injury prone to risk playing in a test match for NZ at the moment imo. Give it 18 months and *hopefully* he'll be on the park more consistently and be a 4th seamer.

Good stuff from Wagner. Don't worry about the 100, just win the game.

Wagner, Bracewell, Boult and Southee is a dangerous tail, could easily pile the runs on in no time or all be gone in minutes.

And you reckon he's going to be any less injury prone after a year or so, yeah? :p
