Interesting to see how NZ go with no pressure of a huge target/lead and on day 1 of what's supposed to be a pitch that's not the most conducive to the tweakers.
I don't really buy the excuse of facing a large first innings target. We've bowled teams out cheaply in the first innings, only to flounder ourselves.

Perhaps, but I think for some of the better players in the side, a lot of it has to do with pressure. Might explain why they did better and played with more confidence in the second innings when they knew they had already lost.

Lolcullum - decent ball - need to see replay but looked pretty out

Edit: On replay, looked rather debateable - perhaps umpires call if had drs

Nice bit of shape both ways from Zaheer

If it's genuinely more of a fast bowler's wicket then Guptill and Taylor are our most important players. Guptill not looking good v Ohja with new ball though.

It was marginal tbh. Clipping the outside of the stump at best. The ball definitely wasn't coming in as the commentators were suggesting.

Shot Guptill - a bit of a risk but was just full enough. Going back to the next full ball a little risky though.

Tbf, Ohja in the last match and this one so far does seem to get the occasional ball to rear up off a length. But yeah, Ashwin is usually better.
