Yeah I saw that too. End of the road for him?Apparently Chris Martin is dropped? Anyone hear this?
If Martin has been dropped this was a good bit of work.Just noticed I'm fourth in the Fantasy Cricket. Guess it was a good move to have Ashwin as skipper. Bad move to put Wagner in seeing as they didn't play him. Oh well, Martin is in his place now.
Well that would be a strange move barring injury. Bracewell bowled reasonably last test, if not amazingly, and was unlucky with two edges through slips. Plus he's notionally a better batsman than the rest (not that he looked at all like scoring runs in first test).Source? NZ Herald saying Bracewell for Southee is the only change.
Shouldn't have been in the team in the first place.Apparently Chris Martin is dropped? Anyone hear this?
completely awtaI never thought Wagner was anywhere near as good as some people were hoping and I don't think he's anywhere near as **** as some people are suggesting now. Why is there no middle ground? What we have here is a reasonable but not outstanding bowler who has deservedly been called up into the reckoning based on good albeit slightly inconsistent domestic performances.
Three years of ridiculously high hype and media coverage would explain the hate. Newspaper, Radio, TV, if domestic cricket was being covered Neil Wagner was getting exposure. I guarantee unless you actually followed domestic cricket with a passion most people would never had heard of Trent Boult before he made his test debut even though he ****s all over Wagner as a bowler. The level of publicity he's had in this country is sickening for a player of his skill level.I never thought Wagner was anywhere near as good as some people were hoping and I don't think he's anywhere near as **** as some people are suggesting now. He shouldn't be the first bowler picked and he shouldn't be cast aside for all eternity either. Chilling on the bench behind Bracewell, Boult, Southee and Martin but being next in line after that seems about right to me at this stage, Such a weirdly polarising cricketer for someone so utterly meh.
Win toss and bat plz
Not really Wagner's fault though is it?Three years of ridiculously high hype and media coverage would explain the hate.
