Cricinfo obviously don't seem to care the game is going on as they have no updated scorecard. You would think they would get one of the press guys that are there to send it through now and then wouldn't you.

Nethula won't be playing the Test then. The Twitter commentary suggested Wagner was bowling with a bit of pace so that's good at least.

Ugly reading indeed. I wouldn't completely write off Nethula (legspin the hardest of all bowling arts to master and the most reliant on confidence etc), but at the very least he's probably too much of a risk in a four-man bowling attack.
Deonarine 100 from 115 balls - I've barely seen him bat before but must have been some good aggressive batting. Both he and Chanderpaul out to big hits doesn't say much for our bowling either.

Hasn't done a lot of it for New Zealand but he fielded at first slip all season for ND last year.
As for Nethula did anyone honestly expect anything different? He stinks and I think I'm being kind when I say that. He doesn't really turn the ball that much, bowls quite flat, zero variations and has bugger all control. Would explain his rather terrible first class record I would guess.
You should be a bit careful - Nethula has a wrong-un, and a top-spinner, which I would count as variations.
But yes, he should be nowhere near the Test side, nor the ODIs for that matter. Shane Warne has a lot to answer for, all these years later.

If he's bowling as flat in the warm-ups as he was in the LO matches against the Zimbos when I last watched him, then yeah he's plainly not ready. Was hoping that was just nerves.
