Quick World ATG XI draft- No Bradman

Jager

International Debutant
Really tough choice here, but I have settled on Hugh Tayfield.

His batting is good enough to take the number 8 slot in my team. Miller would only bowl short bursts, and since this will leave him with more energy, his batting would most likely lift a huge deal without detracting from his superb bowling. The fast men have swing, reverse, seam, guile and raw pace. My two spinners take the ball either way with unnerving accuracy, which means they can either attack or defend depending on the match situation.

1. Herbert Sutcliffe
2.
3. Rahul Dravid
4. Brian Lara
5. Everton Weekes
6. Denis Lindsay
7. Keith Miller
8. Hugh Tayfield
9. Andy Roberts
10. Clarrie Grimmett
11. Waqar Younis

Post up your team after you name your final player fellas, and a bit of a write up on them....

Because of the small number of players, everyone will have a pretty good team, so will be interested to see who gets the most votes.

If the punters want it...

:)
I think that a 12th round would be good.

Then nominate your actual side (in the correct batting order) at the SAME TIME that you pick your 12th player.

(ie. someone may discover an X-Factor player at the last minute that they really want in their team. Just a thought.)

Cool. That'll be good. Name your side when you name your twelfth, and do a bit of a write up on it.

Jager's pick...

When we 'do a bit of a write up' can we accentuate the positives of our own team rather than sling mud at someone elses team? - as a general rule.

Initially yes, then let the "mud slinging" commence!

But really, all these sides are pretty decent, so the mud will be minimal...
