I still can't separate them. The only way to settle it is a 1400m match race, but it seems unlikely to ever happen. :(

But, yeah, that was a breathtaking display. Hard to come up with words to do justice to it.

Will never happen

Caviar would kick Frankel's arse over 1400 plus the former could claim problems with travelling if she lost

Most important thing is that the latter is a stallion that can service plenty in a season - lose once and his fees go down by millions per annum

IF Caviar races on Saturday (no cetainty BTW), she'll win by plenty and that will be it aside from a couple of cameos in Oz

Horse is a money making machine (80k turned up to a meeting in Adelaide, 15k Aussies have pre-booked for Ascot) and connections wont risk it

Frankel is a machine, that was awesome yesterday and he didn't just beat a bloody good field he destroyed them. Looking forward to seeing how Black Caviar goes on Saturday, not got the strongest field to beat this year as our sprinters aren't that great this term and a couple are injured anyway which is a shame. She should win easily but we will never know how a match would go as they are different distances.

Seems as though Frankel may be stepped up to a mile and 2 furlongs, may as well. be good to see him win at the Breeders Cup meeting.

Doubt Frankel will see a plane. Unless he specifically requests to join the mile high club during his stud career.

I can't see Frankel going to a Breeders Cup either, would love to see it happen though.

So is the Aussie/Irish horse going to beat the Queens horse now?

Lovely performance from SYT - possibly the best race I've seen from him since he moved to Ireland.

Whoa! Super impressive performance by an undefeated 2yo filly called Newfangled just now in the Albany Stakes. That was sensational.

She's immediately come into favouritism for next year's 1000 Guineas.

Have been told that BC might not run tomorrow from a very reliable source (head of the world's biggest stables).

Apparently the conditions arent great

Personally hope she does

She's still in the field at the moment, and I think she'd have been scratched by now if she was going to.

I am a little uncertain about how she'll go in rain-affected ground. But that's the only doubt I have, and the track has improved since yesterday.

WTF was that from Nolen?!

She still got up, but jeez. I can't believe it.

Jockey would have been popular had the French horse got up.

On this weeks viewing Frankel is the best in the world.

Very possibly true, although I think BC was a little bit off her best today anyway. She didn't quicken as noticeably as she usually does - not sure if it was the ground or the travel.

Mate that has been feeding me the info (not really feeding me info but our families talk each day as our wives/kids are best mates so we chat a lot on skype whilst they are in Newmarket) came up with the following

When Frankel has won another few races, travels 12000 ks for one outing, runs on a track that doesnt suit him, has a jockey that sits up and still wins, then yes, he has a claim

Also, Frankel was the first invitee to the Cox Plate (richest weight for age in the world and comparable to anything he could've entered overseas) in both 2011/2012 and his connections have knocked backed the invitation on both occasions so that tells you something about their ambitions

I know virtually nothing about horse racing but this guy handles the best in the world so I respect his opinion

His view is that both are great but only one has taken a risk and it has been a massive one

Black Caviar sustained two muscle tears and some heavy bruising during her Royal Ascot run. She can obviously be excused for that performance with those types of setbacks.

Amazing King George today. Great to see Danedream back to her best and winning another big one - she was so awesome in the Arc last year, but had done bugger all since then. So it's good to see her prove the Arc wasn't a fluke.

Can't wait for the Juddmonte this week. Frankel should keep his incredible sequence intact, but this looks like being his toughest test for a while - it's his first time beyond a mile, and St Nicholas Abbey, Farrh and Twice Over are class horses. Really looking forward to this.

Out of interest, how closely do you follow Australian Horse racing, Ed?
