Well, you'd be wrong! Do not get sucked into the CW trap of looking at numbers without qualifying them (and I'm not talking about filters!) with intuition and rational thought.
I'm talking very much as their careers in general. Obviously if they were to retire tomorrow then you would have to look at how they performed recently and realise they were cut short in their prime. But if you looked at their careers in isolation, they wouldn't be anything special IMO.

I don't mean poor when I say average FTR.

Any bowler who performed the way Anderson and Broad have over the past couple years (longer for Anderson) are at least a bit special.

So I take it from that comment you don't think there's a lot of hype surrounding this bloke?
I think he will be the next great spinner.

Thats just my opinion though, can't speak for other people. And obviously noone can predict the future.

I'm basing this of having seen him bowl for around 3-4 years now.

My team:

Gayle Openers
Smith Openers
young Bravo
Samuels
Older Bravo
Pollard
Russell
Sammy
Ramdin
Rampaul
Narine

Every single player in that team except Ramdin can bowl and they bat right doen to # 9

Look out world Windies have one of the best ODI and T20 teams around and IMO are favourites

may look a decent team on paper but they'll find plenty of reasons not to win. i'd be shocked if they won either world cup.

gayle allready putting his feet up today.

Big disappointment that Gayle is not playing today.
Would love to see a full strength Windies team playing.
Hope he is fit for the next match.

in the last 10-20 years has there ever been a more boring or pedestrian top 4 in odi cricket as Cook, Bell, Trott, Bopara?

Without checking I'd guess Cook has the highest strike rate of the four. SR of 80+ coupled with an average of 40+ is more than acceptable in ODIs IMHO.

Looks like he's gone back t'dark place tho; his prod was straight out of 2009.

However I do think we look very light on batting. I'm ambivalent at best about Kieswetter at six & Bresnan at #7 doesn't instill confidence either. He scores quickly, but not too many in this format.
