I agree. Have said it before, not on here but. Would add prestige. The few times he's played for 'Pool there this season he was actually very good. His crossing to Carroll was wonderful as well. I think with Kenny resting him the last few weeks he has basically prepared himself for the Euros.
Anyway, was thinking about the Europa league and IMO they should give a qualifying spot to the winner for the Champions league. I know people think it would devalue the comp but everyone already knows that the CL > EL. This way, every team will try far harder to win IMO.
They did, hence how Forest won it twice despite only winning the league onceI could be wrong but I think this might have happened back when only the champs qualified. Certainly, there were two English teams in it a few times in the late 70s and early 80s.
Actually eliminated Liverpool on the way to winning one of them didn't they? They did, hence how Forest won it twice despite only winning the league once
The first one IIRCActually eliminated Liverpool on the way to winning one of them didn't they?
That happens for all bar the top 3 ranked nations. UEFA's rules are that a country can have no more than 4 entrants, so if a team from Italy won it but failed to finish in the top 3 then there wouldn't be a problem.I also think the CL winner should get a nationless spot, what I mean by that is the team who wins qualifies and then that coUntry gets their usual allocation on top.

What a servant he's been. Kind of bloke who, if you cut him in half, you'd expect to see "Arsenal" written through him like a stick of rock.Arsenal confirm assistant manager Pat Rice will leave at end of season, with Steve Bould to replace him - Telegraph
Will seem a bit weird for a while. Pat is pretty much synonymous with Wenger.
Just 72 games in two years, during which he won three titles & a CWC four years before he joined. The Torygraph said:The 49-year-old made 72 appearances for the club as a player between 1998 and 1999, winning three league titles, two FA Cups, a League Cup and the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1994.
