Decent little cameo from Trego there, in the context of the match. Might as well thrash the bat, justb gonna get an unplayable one if you stick around..

I turned on the commentary 30 minutes ago and already there has been an inordinate amount of boundaries in that time. Kieswetters playing sensibly from one end while Meschede has been carving away at the other. Impressive stuff by Somerset, real horrible stuff from Durham if they lose this game.

Looks like the weather is saving the yorkies this week.

Bit of a strange day in the few games that got started, in a couple of the games there's been nothing but wickets, whereas at Trent Bridge one of the more seam and swing friendly places in the country just one wicket went down.

Nope not when they're performing so badly that they're getting knocked over for 125 against Philander and the Dog & Duck.
Good bowling deck - 1

World class bowlers in opposition lineup - 1

Reasonably serviceable fc bowlers in opposition lineup - the rest

World class batsmen in Duhram lineup - nada

Somewhat serviceable fc batsmen in Durham lineup - couple with the rest being ****e

125 a fair result IMO

Sussex and the minor county are now each thanking their lucky stars that the other exists. "Well at least we're not as **** as Durham/Sussex" (delete as applicable). Well as a matter of fact yes, we are. We're fully as **** as each other.

But at least we're both better than Lanky.

For the record, readers, Fred and I were meant to be spending the day at Hove today, but some frenzied rain dancing by Twinkletoes Fertang spared his blushes.

Recorded the day's play, or lack of, yet watched it through when I get home from work, good interview with Peter Moores, always comes across very well, imo. In reference to the Shahzad signing, he suggested there was a spare place in the Lancs squad for another bowler, he said most counties have six seamers yet Lancs really only had five and so there was a vacancy.

Chapple, Hogg, Smith, Mahmood, Tahir, Newby.

Had to laugh Shahzad has chosen number 1 as his Lancs number.

Sam Robson brother (Angus) turned out for Gloucester 2nd xl,they must be seeking him as a replacement for the troublesome opening position.

Gloucs v Yorkshire looks better, might manage two and a half days if we're lucky.

Hove and Southampton will probably be washed out today, but we could get two days.

All likely to be draws but given that Lancashire's batting has been up **** creek this season and there ought to be some play today in Bristol I'll go with Hants v Derbys as the most likely draw.

Well we are going to venture down to the Rose Bowl today, it's actually making a slightly pathetic attempt at some sunshine in Kingsclere at the the moment so you never know.

Thanks mate. I deleted my post as I didn't think anyone would answer. The reason being is that the way my online betting live chat person answered my question, I think I'm going to win money if its a draw or the team I pick wins.

I think she had no clue but I'm going to dispute it if I don't win.

Yeah was never happening, luckily did not even try and just went to Southampton.

Another good knock from Lumb, second ton this season for him.

Strauss again goes for single figures, I'm not one for relying to heavily on batsmen getting runs in county cricket before test matches and I know he got 49 in the last game but this form of Strauss is starting to become a concern and when your not in form it can be very hard to find it at this time of year in England.

A stop start day at Bristol but the pitch hasn't been as bowler friendly as Yorkshire wanted when they won the toss and put them in. By all accounts it was cloudy and fairly humid and with rain forecast it seemed the right call to bowl first but apparently it's been a decent place to bat on and Gloucestershire have made the most of it, with what sounds a good innings from Kane so far.
