I want to have SACHIN's babiesIf you all called him "Tendulkar" instead of "Sachin", a lot of this would go away because you'd all sound less like a pack of screaming 12 year old girls at a Bieber concert.

Thing is that line of thinking is about par for you.The OP was so obviously trollish and absurd that it was more of a joke post rather than to bait people. As if people believe I actually think Tendulkar is by far the best batsmen ever and all that. Can't believe the fuss over this, grow up people.
This so much.Find it quite funny how people are saying "this without doubt now confirms his status as the greatest ever". It's not like his ability suddenly improved drastically somewhere between scoring century 99 and century 100. Either he was previously, and is now, or was not, and is not. Don't think this milestone can be used as conclusive evidence of anything other than the fact he's reached a milestone.

Ability didn't but actually achieving specific milestones certainly elevates him. Its another thing to accomplish, which would in many peoples eyes, makes his rank progressively higher as he achieves more and more of these milestones.Find it quite funny how people are saying "this without doubt now confirms his status as the greatest ever". Or that you suddenly became a **** the day you signed up hereIt's like saying someone suddenly became old on their 100th birthday.
Might be some truth in that itbt. Apparently I'm a great deal more tolerable in real life.Or that you suddenly became a **** the day you signed up here
Well its not an on/off switch - its a gradation. You could be close and a milestone or an achievement can push you over the edge. Ponting didnt become a better batsman the day after he scored a century in india but the fact that he did definitely increased his value in my eyes. It's a grand achievement, I don't deny that in any way. But if people didn't believe he was the greatest ever before he scored one century in an ODI against Bangladesh last week, then I don't see why they should now.
To quote Cool Runnings: If you ain't enough without it, you'll never be enough with it.
I think the value and appreciation I have for a batsman increases with every significant score they make for sure. But to go from not the greatest batsman ever, to the greatest batsman ever without a doubt simply because of one century? Nah.Well its not an on/off switch - its a gradation. You could be close and a milestone or an achievement can push you over the edge. I think what we all mean is Tendulkar > Bangladesh > India. What he really meant was Tendulkar > Sobers
