In 2 overs of switching over to the match this time.WTF?
Nothing shot. Whenever i switch over to the match, a wicket falls that over.
I'd like a bit of whatever it is you're smoking. Get Trott out and you're into the tail. This is a very average Sri Lankan attack so England can still win this. I think SL will need a bit of deterioration in the pitch by day 4 to win. Those extra 80 odd runs that England conceded today will force them to bat well into day 4 though, so SL should have enough time to build pressure through spin and hope the pitch does something.
Yeah, no real conclusive evidence there to overturn.****. Did not expect that decision.

how much will England score in this innings?
340?how much will england score in this innings?
Likely as.Grinding to a halt against the spinners now. 70-5 coming up.
They likely won't be dropped. The main problem being that come the tests vs the Windies they'll likely rack up 600-2 in non spinning conditions and no one will talk about the problems against spin.Likely as.
The whole drop 'em debate is a tough call, tbf. Those of us who were around in the 1980's will always err on the side of sticking with a player for too long rather than ditching them after a handful of poor innings. That being said, I'm not 100% convinced that the return of Strauss & Bell after being dropped suggests that they should not have been ditched in the first place - more likely, it sent a message to sort their game out rather than bank on being picked due to past glories. Given what we've seen this winter, it would be hard to justify all of them starting against WI unless things pick up massively in the next 5 innings. Sometimes, the fact that the alternatives aren't averaging 50+ isn't the whole argument.
