Whatever it takes!!!
so how good was the knock? I didn't see it.. But I am just finding it hard to believe that a 100 off 138 anywhere on the subcontinent would be a good knock.
Haha. Kind of hilarious if he was actually being hassled by room service. Probably cut off all contact with the outside world and has been subsisting off canned goods for the past few months.Sachin said:where ever I went, the restaurant, room service, everyone was talking about the 100th hundred
*114 off 147so how good was the knock? I didn't see it.. But I am just finding it hard to believe that a 100 off 138* anywhere on the subcontinent would be a good knock.
I saw when he was approaching the 100. It was pretty poor tbh, at least in that period. Played way too softly and wasted quite a few deliveries.so how good was the knock? I didn't see it.. I don't think many people would deliberately down play his achievements tbh.The sense I’m getting is that because the fans/media have put him on such a high pedestal and overblown everything he does (which is no fault of his own of course), some will do the reverse and underplay his achievements. So basically there is no difference between the two groups then? They are two opposing ends of the same spectrum.
That's awesome. Yeah the only other time I saw American sports sites mention Cricket is prior to the India-Pakistan WC match.Tendulkar on the front page of ESPN's US website. Needless to say that Cricket is rarely mentioned on ESPN or any other American sport site. Garnering more attention for the sport – one more reason to celebrate the man!
Meh. Made up stat/made up milestone: potato/potarto. I don't remember a hundredth (ha) of this fuss when he passed his 50th test century, which is an actual, proper, honest to goodness milestone just like mother used to make.i think the thing that annoys the most about all this 'it's a made up stat' **** is that no-one's calling it a stat. We're calling it a historic landmark, which it is, we're calling it one time only thing, which it is, and all that sort of stuff, but we're not comparing it to frickin batting averages.
That is quite an achievement for cricket, especially since its mid-March.Tendulkar on the front page of ESPN's US website. Needless to say that Cricket is rarely mentioned on ESPN or any other American sport site. Garnering more attention for the sport – one more reason to celebrate the man!

Anyway, good luck to the great man. Hopefully he's taken the monkey off his back now.
The thing is, I'm still yet to see any reason why it's not a proper record, other than it being new. It's not a proper record, but a remarkable achievement nonetheless, and I suspect that when fatt's greatgrandchildren are old enough to enjoy the game, that no one else will have got within a bull's roar of it
