Well, this is why we're failing in Europe. This United side, last year and this, are just functionally hard-working. Yet they may end up winning the title two years-in-a-row. Teams are just so poor defensively, their hard work keeps on paying off with just good movement, and basic defending It's quite good to watch if you just like drama of goals, but otherwise, it's softer then Allan Carr at the Playboy Mansion. All too predictable. Another so-called premiership contender flatters to deceive and fails because they can't be arsed to defend properly. Or to make their possession count. Really, you could just spit at the lot of them. Everyone's saying that MU don't deserve their lead, but actually they do because Spurs' feebleness in both penalty areas mean that they absolutely deserve to be three down.
I thought Rio and Evans were superb today. It was in midfield, as is so often the case, and out wide that the majority of United's problems came.Tbf our defence is pretty crap, we basically rely on being much better at finishing than our opponents. Ashley Young won us that match on his own.
DWTA, De Gea, Ferdinand and Evans all played very well IMO. Our lack of control of the game in the first 60 minutes stemmed from further up the pitch.Tbf our defence is pretty crap, we basically rely on being much better at finishing than our opponents. Ashley Young won us that match on his own.
It's not pretty but only two points dropped from games against Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, Liverpool, Norwich and Stoke is a seriously good return- now it's Citeh who have the more difficult run-in.
Still dozed off for the goal tho.Best I've seen Rio Ferdinand play for quite some time as well tbf. Keeper made one or two good saves too.
Yeah, true. Didn't look good tbh. Will give him the benefit of the doubt on that one though, as his view did appear to be obscured.Still dozed off for the goal tho.
Yeah, I tend to feel sorry for him as well. Inherited a squad full of players who are largely past it, but even so you'd expect them to have done better than they have. For any manager who is tasked with rebuilding a squad which has so much deadwood in it you'd expect them to be given a reasonable crack of the whip though. Strange that several of the players he brought in to freshen the team up have hardly featured mind you, can only recall seeing Romeu and Lukaku on very few occasions. Rather suspect that a Mourinho return is very much a possibility.Feel rather sorry for AVB but could not see much else happening after recent results. Do we really think Jose would go back? Does not seem like something he would do. Either way Chelsea not going to move on untill they get rid of the remains of his old side, would find it very amusing if he came in and got rid of them all.
