I like no. 3-4-5 in both of your teams. Ranji-Jackson-Fry and Hammond-Compton-Walcott, both look superb. I would have played Ranji at no. 4 though.

Really quite happy with the side tbh - mainly because of the immense balance. Think it'll be underrated due to the fact there aren't as many stars as other sides, but if people were to look at it in terms of batting and bowling units, I think I'd be right up there.

I like the opening bowling partnership of Walsh-Imran - will do well everywhere in the world.

I'll pay to see a contest between your opening bowlers Walsh-Imran and my opening batsmen Barry Richards-Gavaskar (would prefer a 8-over opening spell from each of the 2 bowlers)..

People tend to do a "checklist" of traits and then not vote for a side which is percieved to have a weakness. In your case your lack of a frontline spinner will probably hurt you.

Yeah, I suppose. Not as if the side is really lacking in variation though. My three slower bowlers in Goddard, McCool and Hazare have almost 1800 FC wickets between them, and they're the 4th, 5th and 6th bowling options.

Don't think I even have nearly the best side, but it'll definitely be underrated IMO.

Haha, yep, exactly. I always do a "process of elimination" type thing when I vote on sides like this. In reality weaknesses might be able to be papered over but when people vote it's the first thing they look for, as you're not exactly going to get rubbish players in such high-quality drafts.

They'll just skim over Eds's side and think "no frontline spinner".

Gun batting lineup Marcuss. Especially like seeing Nourse and McCabe, both of whom are players I like to pick often in drafts.

Yeah, batting is very good IMO and Tate at 8 gives good depth. Bowling not quite as good, Grimmett obviously the standout though Cowie was clearly an excellent bowler and neither Tate nor Bowes are mugs. Also a number of part time options in the top order, Macartney with the second spin option and McCabe/Grace with the seam ups.
