Shocked that it took this long for him to be picked. What have you pre-war chaps (excluding Howe of course since he's in a different era) been doing without picking him?

And adding one of the finest wicket keepers of all time to the side means it looks so:

1. Archie MacLaren
2. Frank Woolley
3. KS Ranjitsinhji
4. Hon. FS Jackson
5. CB Fry
6. Warwick Armstrong
7. Aubrey Faulkner
8. Monty Noble
9. Jack Blackham
10. George Lohmann
11. Sydney Barnes

Will sub out an allrounder for a bowler next round, and I reckon that's looking pretty good.

Best team possibly. Don't think anyone is close enough to your era so might as well discuss your options. Get some Hugh Trumble or Charlie Turner in there.

EDIT: Or perhaps Spofforth.

Which clearly suggests that I left that era too early. When Armstrong was picked I got a bit paranoid that somebody would pick Rhodes and leave me with no way across the war.

he can't coach for **** but he was a good opener: Justin Langer

HowSTAT! Match Scorecard

1. Graham Gooch (8)
Justin Langer
3. Viv Richards (7)
Greg Chappell (5)
5. Michael Clarke (6)
Mahela Jayawardene
7. Jeff Dujon+
Chris Cairns (3)
9. Michael Holding (1)
Bob Willis (2)
11. Stuart MacGill (4)

Very strong batting line-up imo. Decision to move into the 90's and 00's as everyone was going down in the 60's and 70's paid off in that respect. Bowling line-up is pretty cool. Chris Cairns and MacGill were always favourites of mine so I'm probably over-rating it but I reckon it can do a damn good job. Lack of an 5th option hurts - although Chappell is a handy fill in - but it just didn't work out. I could still pick Shane Watson of course....

Not sure what to do with the last pick. There's some pretty cool left over options but I'm not sure whether to pick the best batsman, bowler, all-rounder or fielder.
