My team is complete, looks balanced and ready to play on all conditions

Weldone's Awesome XI:

Barry Richards
Sunil Gavaskar
Ian Chappell*
Graeme Pollock
Colin Cowdrey
Zaheer Abbas
Denis Lindsay+
Malcolm Marshall (1)
Joel Garner (2)
Jeff Thomson (3)
Bishan Singh Bedi (4)

A mouth-watering opening pair, a solid no. 3 and an astute captain, a superb middle-order ready for all conditions - swinging, bouncy or turning, a reliable wicketkeeper, a champion opening bowler who could do almost anything with the ball anywhere in the world, a more than able partner with the new ball, a speedstar and a master left arm spin bowler especially handy in turning conditions... This is undoubtedly among the best teams I have ever assembled in a draft thread.

Really, really needs a fifth option IMO. Batting order is excellent, but I think it'd struggle to get some of these teams out consistently.

Not half bad I'd say. Very happy with how the bowling attack turned out.

Not promoting my team, but I personally think that the attack of Marshall-Garner-Thomson-Bedi has capacity to bowl out most of the teams on almost all tracks. It has extreme pace, extreme bounce, swing, seam, turn, superb cutters...There must be very few occasions when this attack won't take 20 wickets in a match, if one of them doesn't get injured...Ans I don't see how a fifth bowler (a batting alrounder perhaps) can help in those ocassions (of course he'll be of help if one of the 4 gets injured)...

I personally am not a supporter of a mandatory fifth bowler in the team if you have 4 quality bowlers in the team with adequate variety..Of course, a Keith Miller would help, but not a Tony Greig IMO.

I will have to plan a decent fast bowler or a decent all rounder to support McGrath, Bedser and 2 spinners!
