Azhar!!
Erm, by working on their batting? How do guys like Pieterson and Azhar Ali manage to become good batsmen, despite starting off as spinners.
And a strike rate to match .... 33.33Azhar 111 (333)
Do the nelson work :O
It's starting to spin quite a bit now.300-350 is chaseable on this pitch - it's about the English batting showing up.
They probably changed because they realised that they were pretty good batsmen already. It's still incredible though that they change their discipline and still manage to stay good.
Was reading just today actually that guys like Shaquille O'Neal and Dwight Howard started off as point guards before turning into dominating big men.I think that's a very common phenomenon in sports.A lot of players end up playing in different roles compared to the ones they actually started off in.And this is not just true of Cricket.
For example,Rudd Gullit started his career as a defender.Only to later go on to become one of the finest attacking midfielders in the world during the late 80s.I also remember reading somewhere that Gianluigi Buffon initially started off as a Striker, but was asked to become a goalkeeper by his coach later.
Nicely backs up the 2-222 stumps score last night.Azhar 111 (333)
