At least Channel 9 are trying with regards to different stats.

Personally I'd like to see more focus on two key stats which don't get much publicity:

- Percentage of balls scored from
- Percentage of total teams innings scored by individual

The first one in particular. Much more useful in rating a players value.

Quota system as in ?

U - 19 players get drafted to the teams with a maximum price. While every teams needs to/can have certain cricketers from their catchment area IIRC.

That's a good one. It's one thing to be on the other end when you're batting partner is turning it on, plodding about at 100 SR. But scoring consistent singles is much more effective than the odd flukey boundary and soaking up a ton of dot balls.

Yeah in ODI cricket especially. Mussey the prime example.

I thought Dhoni was meant to be a capable keeper against spin? Two stumpings he's fluffed tonight.

No idea what he is referring too tbh. Teams aren't forced to play young players but there is only a limitation on foreign players.
