****ing hell, was ****ting myself for the last twenty minutes. Fantastic result to get a win away to Citeh but if anything the game itself reinforced how much better they are at the moment.

Scholes (if he's at similar standard to last season) is still going to be a better option than Cleverley & Anderson, IMHO. Fletcher's ****ed for the season, so currently Man U's best CM players are Giggs and Rooney.
Cleverley's been several leagues above every other midfielder we've tried there this season, he's just barely played. I'd actually say our best two are Cleverley and Carrick.

International Coach
****ing Foy, had 2-1 utd, Rooney 1st scorer at 40/1, had a chance with 11 a side.

Very harsh red, but letter of the law states it is. He did go in two footed, yes he got the ball, but its the tackle not the outcome thats looked at. Theres little between that and Evans on Holden last year, only difference really is Kompany is good (and Nani's a wuss) so he got the ball - Both tackles had the same honest intention, and neither had any malice.... But as Evans saw, they ARE leg breakers if something is slightly mistimed, hence the red.

It'll get appealed, and overturned, and I wont complain too much, because it wasnt vicious or overly dangerous.... But as Keane said, he was always going to win the ball, why throw two feet in like that???

Hopefully Scholes cameo will make Fergie realise he needs a midfielder. That did not work in the slightest (stats say 70 odd passes, 97% completed - about 2 of them were over 5 yards). Would rather they tapped up Beckham for a short term deal/loan - least he has match fitness unlike Scholes.

Anderson ****ed me off royally at the end. Were camped 30 yards away from goal, and he kept of jogging back into midfield - in a 4-5-1 with Carrick and an OAP, your job is to offer an 2nd option in the box. We kept on getting it wide, finding no outlet, and passing it back to halfway. Nice timewaster but dangerous as we saw when we lost it right at the end.

Feel sorry for the City keeper. Backups get few chances to impress. He had no chance with any of the goals, and pulled off a nice pen save - apart from that had nothing to do bar pick the ball out of the net.

The letter of the law doesn't state that Kompany's tackle was a red, the rules leave tackles like that open to the ref's interpretation. Very much doubt it'll be overturned although he may have his ban reduced. 9 times out of 10 you get away with those but I don't think it was a terrible decision.

Mancini played the ITV interviewer's pathetic attempts to stir up controversy with an admirably classy straight bat. First Premiership manager I can remember that's both excellent and likable.

Have seen rumours going around on Facebook that Clive Tyldesley allegedly said that racism in football was "the nature of the beast" on ITV today? Can anyone confirm this? Didn't hear it myself, but if it's true then he's a bit of an idiot.

Edit: Of course, he is an idiot anyway. Not to mention an awful commentator. But this will take his idiocy to another level.

From The Guardian.

Liverpool's great week continues as alleged winger allegedly lamps his ex.

She should've dressed herself as a full-back; he'd never have beaten her.
Can join Gerrard, Suarez and Carroll in the dickhead brigade then. Always thought he was crap, but never disliked him on a personal level till now (pending proof of wrongdoing of course). Probably just doing his best to fit in with the aforementioned gentlemen.

Lovely club.

Haha beat me too it. My ill-feeling towards them has weakened considerably.
Yeah, could see it is harsh but they are going down if they do not spend and if you don't trust him to spend it well he has to go. West Brom made the move at the same time last year and it worked out well.

Mark Hughes probably favourite I suppose.

The key thing against it being a red is Nani's reaction. The biggest whinging **** in the league didn't even seem bothered by the tackle.

Did like Keane's comment at half time. He was always going to get the ball, it's a 50-50 with Nani.

There's no way in a million years that it was a red, if it doesn't get overturned then there's something seriously wrong.
