Sure he will in his own charming way forever feel he was unfairly deprived of being a Premiership manager but never really up to it. Hate him as much as you want but he is a good championship manager, will pop up there again soon no doubt.

Yeah, guy has clearly got a knack for managing sides outside the top tear. Don't think he has the tactical knowledge or the knowledge of players outside of the UK to cut it as a Premiership manager. The fact that he's objectionable idiot always made me want him to fail though.

The letter of the law doesn't state that Kompany's tackle was a red, the rules leave tackles like that open to the ref's interpretation. Very much doubt it'll be overturned although he may have his ban reduced. 9 times out of 10 you get away with those but I don't think it was a terrible decision.

Mancini played the ITV interviewer's pathetic attempts to stir up controversy with an admirably classy straight bat. First Premiership manager I can remember that's both excellent and likable.
I thought wow, a huge over-reaction when I saw it on the highlights. Was reading this article earlier today and saw this though:

"Yet the rules are clear. Go airborne with a two-footed challenge and you are off — irrespective of whether you get the ball first."

With Coquelin going down I think that actually makes Yennaris (his replacement) the last fit member of the squad who you'd consider full back any sort of natural position.
Sagna, Jenkinson, Coquelin, Djourou, Vermaelen, Gibbs and Santos all out. Plus Mertesacker. Lullin'

Don't think there's another player in the team apart from Van Persie who would have put that chance away tbh. Theo, Arshavin, Chamakh...they all would have squandered it. What a guy.

On the subject of Arshavin though, he had an absolutely wretched game. Offload soon please.

Also, AGAIN, where the hell is Park Chu-Young? :(

Yeah, bit of a ****. Good lower-league/mid-table manager though. Have no reason to think he won't do well for QPR, provided he's allowed to bring in a few players.

Ta. He has 15m or something to spend. Wouldn't surprise me if he tried to bring in Hoilett and Samba, among others.

His managerial record in the Prem is a bit odd. Drawtastic and not afraid to throw money around. Only really remember him looking out of his depth at City.
