****ing Foy, had 2-1 utd, Rooney 1st scorer at 40/1, had a chance with 11 a side.
Very harsh red, but letter of the law states it is. He did go in two footed, yes he got the ball, but its the tackle not the outcome thats looked at. Theres little between that and Evans on Holden last year, only difference really is Kompany is good (and Nani's a wuss) so he got the ball - Both tackles had the same honest intention, and neither had any malice.... But as Evans saw, they ARE leg breakers if something is slightly mistimed, hence the red.
It'll get appealed, and overturned, and I wont complain too much, because it wasnt vicious or overly dangerous.... But as Keane said, he was always going to win the ball, why throw two feet in like that???
Hopefully Scholes cameo will make Fergie realise he needs a midfielder. That did not work in the slightest (stats say 70 odd passes, 97% completed - about 2 of them were over 5 yards). Would rather they tapped up Beckham for a short term deal/loan - least he has match fitness unlike Scholes.
Anderson ****ed me off royally at the end. Were camped 30 yards away from goal, and he kept of jogging back into midfield - in a 4-5-1 with Carrick and an OAP, your job is to offer an 2nd option in the box. We kept on getting it wide, finding no outlet, and passing it back to halfway. Nice timewaster but dangerous as we saw when we lost it right at the end.
Feel sorry for the City keeper. Backups get few chances to impress. He had no chance with any of the goals, and pulled off a nice pen save - apart from that had nothing to do bar pick the ball out of the net.
