ICC Combined Associate and Affiliate (AM) XI v England. January 7-9, 2012

Athlai

Not Terrible
Hamid Hassan is fluent in English and apparently Boyd Rankin has a limited grasp of the language. Being Irish and all.

"Swann to Viljoen, no run, wont be enjoying the chin music surely."

swann mixing it up a bit? ajmal's probably pissed off that his mystery ball has been already bowled

20 more runs to exceed India's best effort in 8 digs last summer...

EDIT: Dammit. Jinxed like a ninja.

Shot of Will Porterfield's missus, whose huge, circular sunnies rather make her look like a hung over insect.

After tea, England were genuinely poor. Much too short. Reminiscent of the 2nd innings at Perth 2010.

Any word on the alleged (by cricinfo) "chin music" from Swann? Did he deliberately dig one in short?
I don't know if it was deliberate, but yeah. Don't think Cricinfo intended that as a compliment because it certainly didn't merit one.

Questionable Scottish commentary is now audible.

"Tell us about these associate bowlers - who should England look out for?"

"Well, Boyd Rankin is the tallest bowler in the world."

Erm

Cricinfo having a mare, tbh. Briefly went back to 277/9, then 281/9 now back to (what one assumes is) the correct score. Did wonder if England were allowing Viljoen a Mulligan for a while tho.

I think it was Broad and they just got it wrong. It says Broad on Cricinfo now. It would've been time for the new ball as well.
