You were sayingSouth Africa isn't part of the Indian subcontinent so Watto won't take any wickets against them.
Will be his only two wickets of the series, unfortunately. You were saying
I meant career similarities or careers being equal, if you prefer that word. Not their bowling technique. Basically, what I'm saying is I think Lee would be equally as frustrating as Johnson if he played now compared to when he did.Not at all similar for mine. Equal, maybe.
Yes I do consider Lee to a more effective bowler. I think on occasions he really led the line well, did concede runs due to his attacking nature, but had the ability to swing the ball, rough a batsman up, etc, more frequently than Johnson. Would suggest both are similar with the bat, but Lee certainly had the edge with the ball for me.WATTO! Great review.
Woodster, you just mentioned Lee. Do you consider Lee to have been a better Test bowler compared to Johnson? I think they are very similar.
By your standards, Coco, this is a shocker. Which side doesn't have fans that whine about that crap? Can't believe the cheating **** didn't walk when he knew he hit it etc etc (insert appropriate insult when Ponting or Clarke hangs around).

Anyway, I don't think I've seen a worse shot by Kallis in his Test Career.
Tbf, I thought both were not out live. Watching without sound though if it made any difference to the second one.Real good change of length from Watson, no doubt surprised Kallis and it resulted in a poorly executed instinctive hook. Two overturned decisions is not good for Gunner, the first I could understand, as the Aussies didn't look totally convinced, but the second one should have been picked up.

I think the last sentence must play a part. Lee definitely was still quite a frustrating bowler throughout many parts of his career. Overall though, if I was forced to pick a bowler I would go for Lee over Johnson, but only just.Yes I do consider Lee to a more effective bowler. I certainly had more nerves around watching Lee bowl to England, rather than Johnson, despite Lee not having great stats against us. Perhaps it was a state of mind with Lee being surrounded by McGrath, Warne, etc, and Johnson not having that kind of support.
