In terms of potential to score meaningful runs, no doubt. If I had a batsman on 90* at 7 down though I'd rather see Anderson or Hoggard come out.

That said, his First Class strike rate is actually pretty damn low, so I might be just a bit.. wrong.. in my opinion of him. Every time I've seen him (on scorecards) score significant runs though it's been pretty quickly with multiple sixes and his technique has looked extremely basic on the odd occasion I've got to see him bat.

A fairly standard consequence of them not being very good.

In ODIs, the aim of the bowling side is to stop the batsmen scoring quickly.

Re: Shuvo, don't think he's any good, Nasir should score quickly and keep him away from the strike imo. They could've really used Razzak here,or another batsman, don't rate Shuvo at all tbh.

Surely Naeem Islam will have to open the batting once Mahmudullah comes back. Having said that, it is Bangladesh and they'll probably stick with Kayes after his fantastic 29 for the next decade or so or manage to somehow squeeze Ashraful back in the side.

With Marma and Sunny out I have no problem with Shuvo playing personally.
