Who are the numbskulls in the crowd actually cheering at the end of it though? fmd.
Probably the people crowded close to the bars. These are the same people that cheer whenever a girl with big **** walks past or a beach ball gets tossed around. Everything is cheer-worthy hah.

It's a kick to get the crowd into gear. They pinched it from other sports like baseball, and for the IPL concocted this trumpet that sounded sort of 'Indian'. I distinctly remember them using that sound in the t20is last week as well as the American trumpet, complete with the 'Charge!' at the end.
I think it may have originated from France (that's the first time I heard it anyway) - at Roland Garros and the rugby.

Hudson said that the ODI squad just needed a few tweaks after the World Cup campaign. “We will probably go in with seven batsmen, including Boucher at No. 7, and we have kept all our bowling options that worked well at the World Cup.

“We will be able to go in with four specialist bowlers plus the back-up of Kallis, JP Duminy and Faf du Plessis.”
Then, they played Botha ahead of Tahir...
