Constantly see Dhoni trying to play at deliveries far outside off stump, and when he realises it's too far away from his body, ends up trying to run it down to third man.

Congratulations England. Thoroughly a better team than us as I said before the series and would beat us in the SC too IMO. Some of the most awe-inspiringly clinical bowling I've seen in my life too. We got thoroughly embarrassed and lack of preparation and injuries are but small excuses for 3-0. We've been comprehensively outclassed, really. Sad to lose the No.1 rank, really. It was never going to be forever and we were pretty much guaranteed to lose before-hand but it's still depressing.

Congrats to the English fans on the No.1 ranking. It's wonderful to be here. It's certainly a thrill and you're such a lovely audience!

Wish I had more ****ing time to see the cricket.

luv.

Never thought I'd see it in my lifetime, and I didn't in real-time, wish I'd stayed at home on reflection. Great stuff from a machine of a side, No reason why we can't keep it up for a while too, Broad and Cook being in their mid-twenties and some good younger replacements coming through in County crciket for the older guys.

Btw Morgan has a worse technique then Dhoni, IMHO.

I don't know, Morgan's got a lot of trigger movements but at least he gets into the right positions to play shots, Dhoni with nearly all his shots especially his defense, he ends up with both feet facing the bowler, he starts side on and the gets turned right round front on to play shot.s

Yeah, Morgan's trigger movement(s) are truly bizarre, he squats really low and then seems to pirouette on his left foot before straigthening, but he somehow ends up in the right position. My concern is that he plays upishly and away from his body too often. Love the boy as he's utterly unfazed by it all, but not sure he's quite got the chops for test cricket.

Lets stop trying to justify Dhoni's technique. It is a pretty terrible technique and yes he got runs but it is painfully obvious that he has no defensive technique whatsoever. The 2 innings in this test were both occasions where he was given the license to go after the bowling with no consequences whatsoever, not to mention that fields were spread in an attempt to try to get him off strike.

On the other hand, no one can deny that he does have good hand-eye coordination and is worth his place in the side because he's really an allrounder *** captain. His batting alone is pretty ordinary and whilst he may get runs in the subcontinent where his style of batting is very much suited, the bottom line is that the majority of the innings he will play abroad will be the kind of innings that he played in this past test match - either pointless innings in lost causes or innings to ram home a significant advantage.

As has been mentioned many times, his trigger movements have become much more exaggerated recently, no idea why.

He's a far more attractive batsman than Dhoni though

Yes, the side on shots of him when he's facing up to the seamers have become lower and lower it seems, he's nearly got his arse touching the floor he's the low.

Two sides coming into this series with undefeated records over past couple of years. Something had to give, as it happens the juggernaut, that is England team rolls on. It will be interesting series when SA tour England. Hopefully we'll have a decent third seamer by then.

Don't want to be too much of a ****, but really can't see SA capitulating like India have.

Yeah while it's hard to argue that England haven't turned into a mighty good team, I'm still not sure that we are a better outfit than SA. Anyhow I'll worry about that some other time.

Congratulations England! What a dominating performance. Count me as completely surprised by the way this series went. I thought England had a slight edge being at home, but I never expected India to be overwhelmed like this. What a thrilling moment it must be for English fans. :)

You are actually. We couldn't beat India at home and what's worse we couldn't even beat Pakistan. Plus the world cup choking just made it worse.
