Ye gods, Yorkshire are actually winning a game. Sweet.
Nah as I said we were not getting a points penalty this week.

Anyway antoher game without winning but delighed for Carbs, been through a lot in the last year and is great to see him healthy and making runs.

Was going to post to say that Virus need these runs he is scoring against Essex as on the face of it he has had a disappointing season but just looking at division 2 stats, run scoring seems to be at a real premium. No batsman with over 600 runs averages over 60, only a select few average above 50 while Virus, warts and all is the second leading run scorer.

Keep banging on about this but would like someone to explain how this pitch is in any way better for cricket than the one we played on againt Notts?

Wonder how long they will play on today, both Carbs and Mckenzie in with a chance of getting to 300.

Exactly. As I said a while back, I'd rather see this sort of pitch get docked points rather than one that takes a bit too much turn.

Quite a nice story for Carberry, actually, well done to him. Shows the mental strength of the guy.

Yeah really pleased for him, has been a big loss for us this season, just gone to his 250 and partnership is 473.

So that's the highest County for the third wicket. second of all-time.

Think it maybe the seventh highest for any wicket.

Completely agree, I hate it when pitch inspectors get all bent out of shape when wickets fall to spin on the first day or teams gets bundled out cheaply but you end up having 3 days of really exciting cricket.

Got to admit, I thought when McGrath got a ton for Yorkshire, it must have been the flattest pitch ever seen and so it proved.

Well, crap.

Got to say well played to Carbs. There's a derth of openers really knocking on the door for international selection since he got ill, hopefully he can kick on from where he left off.

What a terrible pitch though, regardless of how badly Yorkshire presumably bowled. One wicket in two days?

Jos Buttler and KP absolutely destroying Notts now.

Get Jos in the T20 team. Maybe ODI's too, he's so destructive.
