*Official* Bangladesh in Zimbabwe

I'd like to see Zimbabwe do well but just not against us.

I'm not going to put much stock into the Practice Match, not the most ideal preparations thanks to the Zimbabwe board but I think we'll be fine. Expecting a comfortable win in the end with periods of resistance by Zimbabwe

Beer and Krejza, had 5 wicket hauls, So I think Shakib will give Zimbabwe lots of problems.

All you CW members better actually discuss this series so I don't have to post on the Zimbabwe Cricket forum again, as it is dire.

I am a big fan of underdogs and hence of Bangladesh last 5 years when Zimbabwe were not playing. When the Bangers beat NZ 5-0 and then the West Indies team, I felt that they were ready to move to the second tier and was very enthusiastic about it. But they ve let down many with their performances after that and still rank in the third tier along with Ireland, Netherlands and Zimbabwe.

This test could be very interesting and think I would follow it with as much fervour as India-England series now. But confused on whom to support.

Bangladesh win the toss and bowl. Seems a little illogical IMO, but I suppose of the many things you could call Shakib's captaincy, "logical" would not be one of them. I wonder what their balance is like - surely they've not gone in with just two seamers and then bowled first...

Zimbabwe: Sibanda, Mawoyo, Masakadza, Taylor, Ervine, Taibu, Chigumbura, Price, Jarvis, Vitori, Mpofu

Bangladesh: Tamim, Kayes, Nafees, Ashraful, Shakib, Rahim, Mahmudullah, Razzak, Shafiul, Rubel, Robiul

Longer tail for Bangladesh than they'd be used to. Three seamers means their decision makes slightly more sense.

Zimbabwe lining up as expected.

Have no idea why Robiul is playing. Being Bangladesh's 3rd best seamer (who can't bat) must make him about their 30th best cricketer.

Tino Mawoyo will get a nose bleed if he is not careful!

On the Bangla Boys seam attack, Rubel Hossain has a test bowling average of 84, Shafiul Islam 72 and Robiul Islam is wicketless so far in his test career. To summarise, shower of ****e.

Real shame this isn't a 3 match series. For NZ and Pak, 1 test for Zim by all means but they can compete with Bangladesh.

Biggest concern for Zim (aside from their seam attack) was the openers and these 2 have just put on 50 in no time. Shouldn’t be too long until the spinners come on.
