Well that's not the most satisfying way to get a wicket but I'll take it. Of course, if I was English I'd be fuming atm. :p

didn't the jumper got handed over before the appeal anyway? that is, over got called before the appeal?

A bit hard to guage what a good total on this pitch. Looks dead flat at the moment, though not sure if it is the bowling or the pitch. In any case, if it continues to play like this England are not going to be comfortable without close to 400 to work with.
280 should be enough. Boycs was calling for a lead equal to Englands 1st innings total but the pitch seems a bit better than that.

That's very very poor from India. Embarrassing. Whenever the umpire checks with you "do you really want to appeal for that?" then you should pause and reflect as to whether you are playing the game in the right way.

Anyhow they now have the tea break in which to reflect further and redeem themselves. Grieg and Kalicharran and all that.

Bell claims he's called over. Want to see a replay with the stump mics on, expect a **** storm over this. Poor sportsmanship in my opinion.

Reminscent of that England vs New Zealand ODI when we ran someone out after they'd crashed into Sidebottom who was chasing the ball. Colly had the chance to rescind it but didn't. Maybe not as bad as that considering Bell's stupidity but still poor sportsmanship, really.

Of course that's within the rules but its pretty **** if you ask me
LOL. One of those things where you're definitely going to take a position based on which team you like / dislike. There is absolutely nothing to tell people would have expressed same same opinion before the incident without knowing the actors involved.

Out by the laws of the game, but reminiscent of The Vaughan-Sarandeep Singh situation in 2002 (though that was far worse). Not on for me, there are some things in cricket that are gentlemanly agreements and this is one of them if you ask me.

Bell was running the 4th and Morgan was telling him to stop and turning to umpire to ask.

Stupid from Bell to keep jogging on.

How in the world is that cheating?

Yeah this isn't cheating. MS has full right to claim the wicket, and as Nasser is saying England would have done the same, but I think many of us, as cricket fans first, not as fans of the teams first and then the game, don't really wanna see stuff like this.

what's the difference between the Tony Greig run-out ages ago and this?

Wow that's a pretty low thing to do. If that's the level India want to play at then I say it's game on from now on in for the rest of the series!
