*Official* Second Test at Trent Bridge

Judging by the Australian series, I think that the England attack is far more dangerous when it's only going a little bit, half a bat width, more likely to draw the player into the shot. When it's going big for them, they have to bowl half-volleys to make the batsman go hard enough to nick it.
Fair point. iirc it makes it easier to get the nicks into the pads given LBW as well. :)

This is going to be a very exciting day of Cricket.Won't be surprised if it goes on to the list of best ever days. Can't wait.Just 45 more minutes.
Well, the more discerning Australian viewer will be on ABC2 from 8.30 watching The Good, The Bad and the Corrin.

The sun is out right now. Hopefully it stays out.
Doesn't really matter at TB. Swings all the time and the pitch had so much green on it it will still do a bit off the seam today too. India need to bat bloody well to get in a strong position here as they were bowled out twice for less than 300 last game and that pitch had nothing in it for the bowlers to work with, this one does.

The Hindu : Sport / Cricket : Sreesanth: Booing from Trent Bridge crowd motivated me

Unexpected behaviour from english crowd whom i consider in high esteem...
 reading that is hysterical. When the sub.c teams come it's such a difference of cultures. It was pantomime booing at the very worse, because he was being a dick. None of the players (except Sachin actually) interact with the English crowd in the way that Aussies and Saffers always do.

At one point Sharma looked as if he was about to cry when the crowd were having a dig.

Pretty much mirrors the way banter goes down here V Aus & India respectively, tbf

If we can end up setting India around 200 to win in the 4th innings i'd back us to win as the pitch will be doing even more by then. Just got to stay in the game today to keep them under pressure.

I know the ground has been tarted up since 2007, but the sun coming out made a massive difference then.

If it even has half the effect now that it did then we could be staring down the barrel of a 150+ deficit.

Yeah, first hour's crucial. If India don't get through without losing a wicket, they're in trouble I reckon.

What do people think of Mukund? I'm following this through cricinfo and can't watch, but I know he has his fans on here. Not having a great first tour of England so far.

Shot.

Flurry of runs, here. England not quite starting out as they should.

Four boundaries in four balls! Broad won't be too displeased by the last though, bat coming a bit away from body.
