It doesn't matter that they're close. It's pretty shocking for an umpire to be calling no-balls that aren't no-balls.

I know. I'm pretty sure they've played more false shots than they've scored runs.

Well battled out, though. The bowling's been incredible.

one over to go, poor stuff from Strauss keeping Bresnan on. A bit short of tactical nous I'd say -- Dhoni would have had Yuvraj on </sarcasm>

Really well done by the Indian batsmen but they must be leaving the field thinking how did we survive that.

Could be crucial- no one knows what the ball will do tomorrow.

What a fantastic day of cricket. Tomorrow should be even better- there's a notable rise in the overall standard of play when India are batting.

bloody brilliant day of cricket. England show once again why they're no. 1, and India doing well to hang on despite being the overwhelming underdogs.

no, but seriously, this was a really eventful, interesting day of cricket. hoping for 3-4 more days like this.

Well played by these 2. Broad looked the most threatening of the english bowlers, while bresnan didn't trouble much.

At least these two saw us through to the close of play, incredibly tough to bat out there atm. Broad's runs might prove to be really handy here.

fantastic day's cricket, India should still be the happier side, different forecasts seem to say different things regarding the weather. If the sun does come out and India survive the first session without too much damage they could cash in later. Interesting to see what happens with swann, if he does miss a test England will have to make some interesting decisions, rashid to be thrown a debut perhaps?

I cannot believe Praveen may have broken part of Swann's hand. That is pretty insane.

Tomorrow's going to be really interesting, if England get similar conditions to India, those runs that Broad & Swann put on, could prove extremely crucial.
