New Zealand A begin their Emerging Players tournament today for those who are interested, a coouple of 20/20's and a 50 over game have been included after that 20/20 tournament in Malaysia was called off.

Cricket Australia usually have live scores.

Young has done well in his two minutes of international cricket though. I don't see why we're salivating over swapping him out so much. I realize that's mainly blokes on that other forum, but still.

Yeah he's pretty young. Supposedly a good keeper though I've only ever seen him once. Cut heaps in his innings.

Hope he isn't another Hopguns.

Thought this looked like quite a decent effort until I realised it was 50 over match.

Very weak, especially when they managed to beat this SA team in the 2020.
Watling 53, Kitchen 36, Broom 25, Bracewell 32 and nothing else to speak of.

I wouldn't say that, while he looks to be far more competent with the bat then Gareth Hopkins ever did, he didn't exactly do himself any favours with a pretty average series behind the stumps with the gloves - he missed a few catches and a stumping iirc.

He deserves the summer, I wouldn't argue against that. But at 32 this is probably going to be his one and only shot and he's going to have to prove himself pretty quickly one would think, especially if de Boorder keeps putting the pressure on.

When I made the same point about his keeping everybody sprung to his defence - he is regarded as the best glovesman in NZ behind Brendon etc....
