I assume de Boorder is the long term pick, I haven't seen him play but others have commented that his glove work is better than the others, and if he has another year in the runs he is the obvious #1 from 2013 onwards. Hard on Young and van Wyk but sometimes it works that way.

If Young succeeds in tests, why would we drop him? He's been fine so far.

Yeah I can't find the deliveries I am thinking of distinctly remember at least two which he didn't make an attempt for going to his right and to the left of slip. Maybe my mind is playing tricks on me.

I don't dispute his reputation.

No reason to assume that Young will be demoted anytime soon. Also McKay is, at the moment, comfortably ahead of Wagner and Boult, and I wouldn't say that McIntosh's career is finished yet either.

You didn't get the point of the post but whatever. Mcintosh is rubbish. If he is still in the team in twelve months we will be in serious trouble. Neil Wagner will be fast tracked into the NZ team as soon as he becomes eligible.

Tbf it's not really hate more observation. He isn't good enough to play in the team. His knock in India don't get me wrong was gritty and showed his character but Martin Guptill has bucket loads of talent, a decade of cricket left in him and has also achieved great success in one day internationals. It's just not logical to have the guy sit out in reserves when he has done just as well, possibly better than Mcintosh in tests as well.

I rate Andy Mckay as a sharp wicket taker when he is on his game. It was more of an emphasis on the youthfulness of the squad we may have in twelve months given the performances of some of these players.

Guppy as an opener wasn't as good as McIntosh as an opener up till that last series IMO. Wouldn't have Timmeh starting anymore though.

Wagner has had one extremely good season and a few years bashing South African Division Two batsmen.

This is what McIntosh did to Wagner last season in a List A game, his weakest format.

I rate Andy Mckay as a sharp wicket taker when he is on his game. It was more of an emphasis on the youthfulness of the squad we may have in twelve months given the performances of some of these players.

Martin Guptill smashed Bangladesh around in NZ. That is essentially the difference in their records.

McIntosh shouldn't start anymore, but it does amuse me to see people complaining about an opener with two test centuries when his contemporaries have been fortunate to make 30 in most cases.

That is rubbish mate. Wagner hardly stats hacked in SA or played all that long there. Has had a fair few huge domestic seasons here too.
