Why are these people getting banned for making one post slagging Anderson? Is Jimmeh the new Tendulkar?

Without wishing to be facetious, assuming fitness I think Zaheer should end up with more wickets because he'll have less competition from his teammates.
AWTA. I have said before that Anderson and Zaheer would be the two main performers in the series.

Like Brumby, I think that Zaheer would end up with more wickets but Anderson would be the superior bowler. In the sense that Jimmy would get them at a better average and strike-rate and would be skittling out the Indian batting line-up a few times. One man would be getting 4-60 and 4-45 sort of figures while the other would be going for 6-85 or 5-110 sorts.

Considering his current form and the fact that England would likely have a wet summer ahead, Anderson is perhaps the best bowler in the world to capitalise. Tough draw for Zaheer in this poll. He would be a serious threat in this series and if he stays fit, should be India's best performer.

Zak and Jimmeh bowling is going to be manna from heaven for a swing-bowling lover.

Meh Indian bowlers bar Zaheer are terrible.

But Zaheer has been pretty much designed to function as an English bolwer plus he had county experience as well as Test match experience in England.

If he can stay healthy (perhaps a big if) - I see him comfortably out bowling Anderson. He's a better overall bowler anyway plus these are pretty much "home" conditions for his style of bowling.

The chances of him comfortably outbowling Anderson in England are incredibly low. He could have a better series but comfortably outbowl him? Just won't happen.

Have you seen Anderson bowling in the last 18 months? Particularly at home.

To 'comfortably outbowl him' is practically impossible.

Yes watched all of Ashes as well as the home series. Watching the current series now as well.

He will be out bowled and likely comfortably - we'll find out soon enough. I'd make an avatar bet but I already have a couple.

running through last year's Pakistan is hardly a crowning moment we batted like school girls. His Ashes efforts were top notch but Zaheer was equally good in the Australian series that preceded the Ashes.I back Zaheer but I doubt he can keep his fitness for a longish series.

Yea that's the main thing. As I said, I think it's probably a big if whether he can stay fit for the whole series.

Ideally I'd like him to save his best series for Australia, instead of this one. That one should be epic - India have never won in Australia and this is their best chance in their entire history.

Look, I'm not talking Zaheer down. But to say he will comfortably outbowl Anderson is absurd.

Just FTR, it's the word 'comfortably' I am taking exception to. Not saying Zaheer can't be the better of the two.

Of course, Jimmeh might go on and take 3 @86 and I get my posts dug up
