Anderson and Zaheer have fairly similar strike rates and bowl roughly the same number of overs per innings. It isn't like Zaheer has been bowling any more overs for India or picking up a greater share of the wickets than Anderson.
This is GIMH you are trying to argue with. On the subject of Anderson. :p

Well, we'll have to deduct 1.6 wickets from Zaheer's wicket tally just to be safe.

So it's currently:

Anderson 0
Zaheer Can't -1.6

Go Jimmeh

Zaheer, but only if he stays fit. England's batting lineup is much weaker, there's an all-lefty opening partnership, he's done the business in England before and I'd say he's probably a little bit better than Jimmeh in general.

Without wishing to be facetious, assuming fitness I think Zaheer should end up with more wickets because he'll have less competition from his teammates.

Jimmeh.

My gut feel is that Zaheer will flop (when I say flop I mean in comparison to the exceptional standards he's set himself over the last couple of years) - while he'll still comfortably be India's best quick and will probably own Strauss to the point where Cevno gets my avatar for a month, I don't think he'll have the sort of series everyone's expecting.

I'd like to apologise to my Indian friends for labelling their bowlers 'clowns'.

It appears using such adjectives to describe players you don't rate is no longer permitted at Cricket Web. Which is funny as we were told ad nauseam it was okay and that 'Tendy is a buffoon' was all about context and that insulting players in a genuine context would be okay.

It won't happen again and I look forward to seeing plenty of warnings given for everyone of all nationalities who attacks Stuart Broad when he doesn't bowl very well today.

Thanks
GIMH

Anderson will get more wickets. Khan will probably miss a test as he is a crock but may have a better average overall.

Stuart Broad IS a clown though.

Mind you, so is Sreesanth. And poor Sharma has become one.

SS better watch out he doesn't use the Wheel of Mediocrity as his avatar. Might get infracted

Zaheer top-wicket taker in all the 3 .And where is that loser Anderson in all the list. Nowhere.

It is English inferiority complex that thinks Anderson is in the level of Zaheer.
