WTF is Botham on about '2 or 3 balls all day hitting the stumps', they showed the map a couple of overs ago and there were about 4 that hit the stumps to the righties and about 10 against the lefties.
Personally thought Broad bowled really well in his last spell, he seemed to find a better length that made the batsmen play at more and he was at a good speed all day 88-90mph. Tremmers bowled very good, with some really nasty deliveries, he looks an absolute nightmare to face. Jimmy bowled pretty well, didn't get his length quite right at times but coming back from a injury, you would expect that but saying that, he is a joy to watch.

So what's a good return for each side tomorrow?

I want an early wicket for us and roll them for about 150.

That would be ideal but I'd take 200 at this stage. Important thing is to hope the rain stays away and get the wickets quickly. If the Sri Lankans are still in by tea I can't see us pulling off the win.

I'd settle for a wee bit of intensity, after Jayawardene departed we seemed to treat the remainder of the session as one giant net session designed to get Broad some wickets.

I reckon after getting the first 4 so cheaply, they will be gutted, if they don't dismiss them for under 180. They're on 81 atm so depending on conditions, which sound even worse than today, it should be doable, especially if they get the 2 at the crease, early on.

How do you get that? Broad actually bowled pretty good in that session, with a much better length,at a better pace, than the last 2 tests.

He bowled well, I just thought it was strange that Swann didn't get a single over when we ended up bowling 38 overs in the entire day.

They usually do, maybe today they thought the seamers had more of a chance of a wicket. I'd have give him a couple, at the end, just to see what turn was in the wicket and chanced that Swanny, could get one in his first over.

Well, the ball was swinging for all the fast men so that is probably why Strauss persisted with them all day at Swann's expense.

Not surprising really.

Highlights on here now and Warney has plainly had work done. Also looks like he's had his bloody eyebrows plucked.

Sad day for humanity when Shane Warne turns into a metrosexual.

Makes me a sad panda.

if broad goes for about 0/450 this match his average will past 40.00

i for one am not ruling it out
25 down 425 to go

edit further calculations reveal he only needs to go for 424 or so overall so he's already under 400 to go!

now of course i have fears he'll get some tail-enders so come on Swann and Trem!
