He turned 2 or 3 deliveries, one of which was definately out of the foot marks.You think so? I didn't see much turn myself, I'd have been pretty surprised to have done on day one. Herath was giving it some nice flight but very little turn from what I could see.
Yes it would and Broad to get 50 and Swanny to hit a few, it would be good to get to 450, with what's left.Hope he turns it into a ton tomorrow
Grease the right palms.Hey guys, anyone know what Nick Knight did to deserve elevation to the Test commentary team?
Probably sucks a mean dick.Hey guys, anyone know what Nick Knight did to deserve elevation to the Test commentary team?
Not in the same league as Haddin /julian87Prior now averages over 44 in Tests, at a strike rate of 65. He has the highest average for any England keeper in Test history (qualification: 5 innings).
Howe_zat;2574904 The fact that we're looking at around 400 tomorrow is brilliant.[/QUOTE said:Just picking this quote, but it could have been another.
England are looking at 400+++
From this moment on, 400 would be poor. I can see Prior, Broad & Swann taking it away
Isn't Prasanna Jayawardene supposed to be good?
I'm a big fan of Prasanna with the gloves, despite his excellent ton in the first Test, I don't he's good enough with the bat to go in at six on a regular basis. From what bits I've seen today he has looked a little sloppy, he's not the first touring keeper to struggle at Lords though. His keeping to Murali from what I saw of it, was generally very good, so maybe he's just not at his sharpest, expect him to improve as the series goes on.Supposedly. He's been sloppy whenever I've got the chance to watch him play however.
Prior has his favourite shots, and if you bowl straight at him for long enough he flays out and plays one of those shots at balls that he shouldn't. Australia did it well early in the Ashes, but as the series wore on it was like they didn't care about how to bowl at him, just tried knicking him off every ball rather than wearing him down.Bell maybe but Prior doesn't have enough. It's his lack of versatilty that makes him so poor as an ODI batsman.
