....yeah, was clearly easy as, only had to (again) overcome the best of all time, and then maybe best clay court player of all time, dunno wtf he was thinking really....lol, Novak.
Had a clear path to #1, and ****ed it up
Novak would've been #1 had he beat Roger. Rafa doesn't even come into the equation.....yeah, was clearly easy as, only had to (again) overcome the best of all time, and then maybe best clay court player of all time, dunno wtf he was thinking really....
Ah yes of course. I remember.I think the last time was against Nalbandian in the Masters Cup final in Shanghai.
this...Still don't think he can beat Rafael on clay though. But if he does it would be just about be the ultimate exclamation mark to an insane career.
Yeah it's remarkable really that he's played in, what, five French finals on his "worst" surface. You could argue hrs actually among the top echelon of clay courters himself, only he's run into Nadal.Even if he loses the Final, it puts a bit of an extra exclamation mark on Federer's career, he took on the unstoppable force of 2011 and he won, on the surface that has probably suited him least over his career and he's supposed to be on the wane.
Obviously he has a legacy beyond that, but it's sort of like Steve Waugh's ton against England off the last ball. Especially if Rafa beats him in the Final, just like how England won the Test!
Yeah I feel he could get into the top 3 clay courters of all time. Older tennis fans are likely to disagree, however.Yeah it's remarkable really that hrs played in, what, five French finals on his "worst" surface. You could argue hrs actually among the top echelon of clay courters himself, only he's run into Nadal.
Indeed,Novak would've been #1 had he beat Roger. Rafa doesn't even come into the equation.
Also, Novak of 2011 >>>>>> Roger of 2011 (up until this).
