You have to seriously wonder if Murray was faking that ankle injury.

Was 0-5 down and struggling with his ankle injury from the last match. I was sure he was going to retire, considering Wimbledon is so near.

Instead he comes back to 4-5 and now has a break point to make it 5-5.

Wtf is going on.
I'm no big fan of Muzza, buit I think he has a slight injury, wouldn't be surprised if he jacks it in if he loses this game.

Haha I was mainly being facetiousness. I don't think anyone would purposely go down 0-5 :p

I reckon he was clearly incredibly sore when he started, but as he started to run around on it and the juices started flowing it felt a bit better.

He's gone from 4-2 up in the 2nd to lose it 6-4 however.

If he's to win, it has to be in 5 now. That'll take way too much out of the ankle imo. Even if he did win, Chela wouldn't be easy with an injury, and he'd have no chance against Nadal/Soderling imo.

Yeah, I agree, probably just going to do himself damage now. Having said that Troicki isn't exactly playing well, and is choking a bit on big points, I suppose he couldjust fall apart.

No doubt that if Murray were to win, Troicki would have to play a huge part in it. At the French last year Murray was down 2 sets and a break against Gasquet, who then ran out of gas (no pun intended) because he had played a tournament the previous week to the slam.

I don't think Troicki will tire, but he could just choke massively.

I personally think Wimbledon is so important to Murray he may retire if he goes down a break in the third. That being said, I think Murray has only retired once in his career. He's a player who just plays through injury, unlike many others.

Federer also very rarely if ever retires, but he also very rarely if ever gets injured. Amazing durability.

Just as I submitted my last post Troicki breaks Murray in the third. Leads 2-1.

Murray is not budging and is staying out there.

Either he's got medical advice that the injury won't get worse by playing on it, or he really feels if he gets through here he can beat Chela and get to a Roland Garros semi for the first time.

I'd hate for him to **** up his Wimbledon chances.

Incredible from Murray. Smashing it in the 4th set now.

Will have to come back tomorrow for the 5th. Maybe Troicki will realise that all he has to do is come to the net and he wins most points.

Wonder how Murray's ankle will pull up tomorrow.

Murray comes back from 2-5 down in the fifth to win 7-5. Great effort from him.

Well dont Troicki though. One of the biggest bottlers you will find on the ATP Tour.

Yep. Schiavone on the other hand, so mentally tough. The way she stepped up and seized the moment in last year's final was amazing to watch. Came through a tough match today as well.

Wait, a mentally tough women's player? Am I seeing things? :p

Schiavone is. Her body language on the important points is amazing to see, and she tends to step up her aggression level as well. Her passion for a good, hard contest is real fun to watch.

That boy was in tears.

Amazingly Troicki was still able to break that game. Yet he still lost. What a ****.

Curious time to make that post, you know... when she was 5-1 up in the third set and betting had basically closed on her, and she then proceeded to lose the next 4 games :p

Crawled across the line last night.

Yes, she did. :p Pav played well though. Don't know whether to support her or Bartoli in the SF, like both of them. Hope whoever wins it goes on to take the tournament.

I'm all pumped for Rafa vs. Soderling tonight. This will be a big moment for Rafa this season imo.

Rafa has blown out massively in terms of overall French Open betting. Novak having a walkover in the quarters and Rafa constantly telling the media he sucks and is playing ****, and Novak is a God, has convinced everyone that Rafa has no chance.

If he puts in a convincing performance against an in-form Soderling who loves Roland Garros (as long as its not a final), people may reconsider.

Rafa traded to win the tournament two days ago at $3.6, with Novak at $1.89.

Definitely could happen. Nadal has been talking in a very defeatist fashion lately:

"I am not playing enough well to win this tournament. That's the truth. You have to be realistic. But I have won here five times already. I don't have an obligation to win six."

Get the feeling though that if Rafa wins here everything changes, just like at Wimbledon 2010. He was in **** form playing 5-setters to mid-rank players, and was 0-4 down to Soderling in the first set of their quarter-final. He then clicked into gear, beat Soder in 4 sets and then never looked back.

I've got my fingers crossed the same can happen here. If he beats Soderling he should beat Murray (injury cloud)/Chela (lol) to get to the final.
